Privacy Policy

Version 2026.10 · Effective October 13, 2026. This policy applies to ProfitLens services operated by Somar at profitlens.ae.

1. Who we are

ProfitLens is a cloud business operations platform provided by Somar (“ProfitLens”, “we”, “us”). We generally act as controller for account registration, subscription, security, support, and platform administration data.

For business content entered into a Customer workspace—such as client, employee, patient/dental-case, order, financial, or maintenance records—the Customer generally determines the purposes and means of processing and acts as controller. ProfitLens acts as its processor/service provider, except where we independently process limited data to secure the platform, comply with law, or manage our contractual relationship.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to:

3. Data we process

Depending on how you use ProfitLens, we may process:

4. How we use data

We use personal and company data to:

We do not sell personal data.

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on the context and jurisdiction, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing a B2B platform, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. Acknowledging this Privacy Policy at checkout confirms that it was presented; it is not used to replace another lawful basis where consent is not appropriate.

Customers are responsible for identifying a lawful basis for workspace data they control, including employee monitoring, location, recruitment, patient or dental-case information, and communications with their own clients.

6. Service providers and subprocessors

We use trusted infrastructure and service providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards, including:

Paddle may act as an independent controller or merchant of record for payment and tax data under its own privacy terms. A Customer’s independently configured payment, email, AI, or routing account is governed by that provider and the Customer’s configuration.

7. Sharing

We may disclose data:

We do not share company workspace content with other ProfitLens customers.

8. Data retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Account and workspace data generally remains available while the account is active. Security logs are retained for a limited operational period; billing, tax, legal acceptance, audit, and dispute records may be retained longer where needed for legal obligations or claims.

After cancellation or termination, access may end before deletion. Data may remain temporarily in active systems and protected backups until routine deletion cycles complete, unless law, a dispute, or a valid preservation request requires longer retention. Customers should export required records before access ends and may contact support regarding closure or export.

9. Security

We apply risk-based technical and organizational measures, including authenticated access, role and tenant boundaries, server-side billing controls, restricted administration, encryption provided by our infrastructure, logging, and backup/provider controls. No system is completely secure. Customers must protect credentials, devices, company codes, integrations, and user permissions.

If we confirm a personal-data incident requiring notice, we will notify affected Customers or authorities without undue delay as required by applicable law and provide information reasonably available to support the Customer’s obligations.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law where applicable, individuals may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a regulator. These rights are subject to lawful limits, identity verification, and retention obligations.

Workspace users should first contact the Customer/company that controls their employee, client, patient, applicant, or portal data. We support verified Customer requests as processor. For ProfitLens-controlled account or billing data, contact support@profitlens.ae. We will not discriminate for exercising a privacy right.

11. Children

ProfitLens is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies needed for authentication, security, language/preferences, offline capability, and core application operation. We do not use Customer workspace content for targeted advertising and do not sell personal data. If optional analytics or advertising cookies are introduced, we will provide appropriate notice and controls before using them where required.

13. International transfers

Our providers and Customers may operate in different countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use available lawful mechanisms and reasonable contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards appropriate to the transfer. Customers are responsible for transfers they initiate through their users or independently configured integrations.

14. Automated and AI-assisted processing

Optional AI features may summarize, classify, or assist with recruitment or operational content. Unless expressly stated, they are decision-support tools and should not be the sole basis for legal, employment, medical, credit, or similarly significant decisions. Customers must provide human review and any notices or consent required for their use.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy prospectively. We will identify the version and effective date, and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Where required, we will request renewed acknowledgement or consent rather than treating silence as agreement.
